SBE4 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Microdot: With no small amount of sadness, today we've been around the SBE series lifting the caches and now we are archiving the series [:(].

We would dearly love to keep this series going, but not just for the sake of it. We've thought long and hard before coming to this decision.

The main reason for archiving is the appalling state of the Public Footpaths between SBE3 and SBE5 due issues arising from land drainage, livestock and horses. Much of this section is now a complete quagmire which is not most people's idea of fun. We've asked Lancashire County Council who are responsible for the paths to do something about their condition, but our pleas fell on deaf ears [V].

We'd like to thank all the cachers who went out and found the caches using various techniques, for sharing your experiences through some excellent logs and for the Favourite Points you've bestowed upon the series [^].

And all that remains now.... is to hit the archive button [xx(]

Geocache Description:

Number 4 in a series of puzzle caches entitled Squares Before The Eye.

The cache is not at the published coordinates.

Well, that isn't strictly true..... because one of the published coordinates is correct.... but which one?

To find out you'll first need to complete all the preceding caches in the series, starting with SBE1 [visit link], decoding the specially encoded coordinate images as you go.

If you've already embarked on the series you already know the drill - if not, go directly to the cache listing page for SBE1 [visit link] which explains everything you need to know.

Please do not remove the encoded images from the cache containers - they must remain in the containers so that those who come along after you can also decode the coordinates required to find the next cache in the series.

We hope you have as much fun finding the caches as we did placing them and look forward to reading about your experiences in the cache logs

Congratulations Team-SK FTF 24.07.10
