The hidden gem of the Wyanokie Highlands, this Olympic size, stream-fed freshwater pool is located adjacent to Norvin Green State Forest and to N.J. Audubon's Weis Ecology Center. The Pool grounds include a picnic and barbecue area. There is direct access to a recreation field (including a baseball backstop), volleyball court, ping-pong tables, and over 21 miles of pristine hiking trails in the forest.
In 1935, the swimming Pool was carved out of the hillside. Today the Highlands Pool is a 501(c)3 non-profit community-owned and operated facility, which was formed by local residents who are environmentally oriented. No chemicals are used in the Pool.
Cache container is an ammo can loaded with toys and other kid friendly trade items. Also I'm always dropping off trackables that I pick up in my travels here as well so it's sort of a TB Hotel too. Please log when you take a trackable so I know when the cache is getting low then I can drop some more off and only one per visit unless you're trading, thx.
The cache is well hidden so please re hide it the same way you found it.
