Geocache Description:

Traditional cache placed near South Lead Hill City Hall/Fire Station.

Traditional medium size cache placed near the South Lead Hill City Hall/Fire Station. South Lead Hill is a city that was formed after the original Lead Hill was covered by Lake Bull Shoals in the 50's. When the original town was flooded by the lake, there was dissention among the town people on where the town should be relocated. The majority moved to the current site of Lead Hill, while a faction formed the new town of South Lead Hill. Foundations of the original Lead Hill buildings are still visible on the banks of East Sugarloaf Creek near the old bridge.

Please do not park on the grass but park in the driveway by the city hall. If anyone is sitting on the porch of the house by the cache, please say hello. They own the property the cache is located on and welcome visitors (they're also my parents and love to visit!)
