The above coordinates will lead you to another set of coordinates, this set of coordinates is written with a black sharpie. Please disregard as the final has been moved into a hole in a tree, look at the hint for the correct coordinates.
The cache is about a half mile from the above coordinates. You could drive a little closer, but I strongly encourage cache seekers to walk it -- this is a very nice park and the walk is easy.
The stuff is in a clear Tupperware container . Items include printouts detailing the history of Stephens Lake, the "Pop" Collins log cabin and Gordon Manor, and of course the log book, etc. Stephens Lake is near the original site of one of the first homesteads in the area. The printouts included in the cache provide lots of info, including details of the destruction of Gordon Manor (one of the oldest houses in Boone County) by fire in November 1998.
Stephens Lake and golf course were bought by the city of Columbia a few years ago, for $7 million, via a hotly contested tax issue. The park itself, currently under development, is quite extensive & is worth a walk around while you are there.
