Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the Hansville Greenway Trail System. Parking and trail access is easiest from Buck Lake Park. This won't give you the shortest route to the cache, but it will keep you from parking illegally or trespassing on private property.

I started horseback riding on these trails in 2001. This Trail was one of the first trails I ever rode on in this area with my horse, and this spot always made me ponder WHY? HOW? and FOR HOW LONG? It was definitely in better shape back then. Now it is a total mess but this is still really cool spot for you to now ponder WHY? HOW? and FOR HOW LONG?

Bear Meadow was one of my favorite places to visit while riding my horse when I was a kid, and still is actually. I wanted to place this cache in Bear Meadow but the other caches in the area were too close, so I was not able to. So, what I ask is that you go visit Bear Meadow - and grab a few other caches - after you visit here and sign the log, hence the name!!!

The old wives tale that I was always told Bear Meadow was it was frequented by bears foraging for food before hibernating for the winter. Unfortunately or maybe not depending on how you want to look at it, In all the years of coming here, I have yet to see a single bear. But feel free to munch on the different berries if you come in the right season. Just like the bears did when they used to frequant this meadow. On my way today II got to enjoy some black berries, salmon berries and wild raspberries.

To start this cache out, I have left a number of trackables inside. If you would like to take one, feel free. I would like to have at least two trackables always available for cachers that find my little hide. Thank-you!

Also, there is a prize for the First to Find!

This is my first hide, so please let me know if the difficulty or terrain ratings need to be updated.

CONGRADULATIONS TO FEATHERFRET FOR FTF!!!!!!!
