Welcome to the City! Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions

The approach to the cache site is almost flat if you are already up on the hills. The road up from Llanfairfechan is steep though and very stony in places.
Enter Dinas into a Welsh to English translator and what you will probably get is City. However Dinas can also mean a refuge or fort which makes more sense regarding this location.
Probably built in the Iron Age, this hillfort consisted of a central enclosure of about 40 metres in diameter with ramparts to the north and south. Inside was a large central hut and 13 other huts of about 7 to 10 metres in diameter. Fragments of "felsitic" flakes resulting from axe making were found near the site by S.H.Warren F.G.S.(1919) linking the site to the Graiglwyd axe factory above Penmaenmawr. A partial excavation took place in 1925 which revealed two quern fragments and part of a rubbing stone but no dating evidence.
It's worth making your way the short distance to co-ords N53°14.731 W003°57.002 for the view down the valley. Some of the hut outlines can also been seen from here.
You are looking for a rectangular clip-lock plastic container of about 3/4 litre size containing a log book and pencils as well as some goodies.
