cap1ocachers: We no longer own property in Nutrioso, so we cannot visit the cache once a year. Glad we were able to share the cache and view for the years we did. Also will always have the wonderful memory of it surviving the Wallow Fire due to the amazing work of the El Dorado Hot Shots.

Geocache Description:

UPDATED DUE TO WALLOW FIRE... so see Long Description for the new info.
Always have to stop at this location when driving from Big Lake to Nutrioso on FS 88. "Attention Hunters" look for a "loopy" tree. Hope you enjoy the view as much as we do!

... the location and view have both changed a bit since the Wallow forest fire in June 2011. Presently the cache is no longer under a log, since the log was used as back burn for the Wallow Fire. BUT thanks to the Eldorado Hotshots, it was relocated only a few feet away and hid appropriately (the loopy tree branch is still there). These firefighters are PHENOMENAL!! Cannot believe the AWESOME work that they have done. And they even signed the log book. :)
