Geocache Description:

YOU DIRTY RAT.......that's a phrase I use quite frequently. A classic line, from a classic actor in a classic movie.

You Dirty Rat !!!!!!

Back in 1899, James Francis Cagney was born. Before his death in 1986, this accomplished actor performed in 70+ movies over a 63 year successful acting career.

In 1932 Jimmy Cagney starred in a movie called "TAXI". The film is notable for not only being the first time Cagney danced on screen, but also the last time he would allow live ammunition to be shot at him. He had been wounded in a previous movie, and almost got shot during the filming of TAXI. (Apparently, it was common in those days to use live rounds...they didn't require special effects, and for some reason unbeknownst to me, live rounds were considerably less expensive than blank rounds.)

TAXI was the source of one of Cagney's most misquoted lines. He never did actually say, contrary to popular belief.........."MMMMMMMMMMMM, you dirty rat." The closest he got to it in the film was......" Come out and take it, you dirty, yellow-bellied rat, or I'll just give it to ya through the door."

I didn't go in and check, but you can probably find this movie at this location. Muggles abound, particularly in the evenings & on weekends. You will need to bring your own writing utensil.
