Geocache Description:

This cache is for my friend Spoon! It could have been called "My Awesome Battle Cry", but I went with "My Blue Heaven" instead. This is a Blue Altoids tin with one heck of a view.

It is worth the hike and even has it's own shelter in case the weather is bad. The shelter will only hold 2-3 comfortably. This is a hike that takes about 45 minutes from the top of Flat Top and an hour from Canyon Road. This hill is so often overlooked by many when it is truly a peak worthy of your attention. Once you have made it this far follow the trail and see where the day takes you.

It is another 3 hours to make it to Ptarmigan Valley and down and an hour (give or take) back to the car in Canyon Road parking area. If you park on Canyon Road remember the gate closes at 10:00pm sharp. There is a direct trail to this peak from Canyon Road or you can come up from Glen Alps via Flat Top or from Canyon Road via peak two. The Glen Alps parking currently doesn't close, but that could change in the future. There is a parking fee at Glen Alps and not on Canyon Road.

This one is for Spoon! even if he never makes it here to find it, but now the incentive is out there. Why don't you tell him how cool this place is and he may be here before you know it.

Placed under Chugach State Park permit #09-076
