Geocache Description:

Located in Chester-le-Street Riverside Park.

For the moment the log rolls seems to be stuck, I'm prepared to accept finds without signing the log for the time being.

The cache is easily accessible from the path.

The park dates back to the 1930's and is one of the main attractions in the town and is a 'gateway site' to the Great North Forest. The River Wear runs along the East of the park and it's next to the Durham County Cricket ground. This used to be the main entrance to the park before the pedestrian footbridge was built.

This is a nano so bring a pen, also if the log hasn't been replaced properly it can be tricky to extract so come prepared!

You can access the cache either from the park or as a drive by from the A167 dual carriageway where there is a small space for one car to pull in (see picture). There is a pay and display car park in the park itself.
