An easy cache which can be either stand alone or as one of four caches on the path from Kirkwall to the summit of Wideford Hill, the highest point on Orkney.
Be careful of the thorns and nettles around the cache site. You may wish to take a glove with you. Please try not to disturb the undergrowth around the cache as its location may become obvious to walkers using the path.
The cache is a short distance up the path from Sunnybank Road en route to the summit of Wideford Hill.
Great views out across Kirkwall, St Magnus Cathedral and out over Kirkwall Harbour and Kirkwall Bay.
The cache is a small sampling bottle with log and pencil. Do not drop the stone on the cache.
