This cache is located at one of the many scenic spots in the park. The cache name is derived from a sign, believed to have been placed to remember Windward resident and retired US Navy veteran Richard "Chip" L. Campbell.
This is a relatively level and straightforward walk from the Kahua Kuou parking lot / camp area (terrain rating 1.75 to 2.0), and the views are well worth the short walk. The spot is well deserving of the name Hoomaluhia - "to make a place of peace and tranquility."
Take a seat for the view and then look at the bushes between the two power poles behind you.
