Geocache Description:

Tonks' Re "WELL" is the replacement cache for GC1KQDZ Tonks' Wells

This cache is bring you to Tonks' Well, it is one of few remaining original wells that can be still found in Wellington. The well was covered over when piped water became available and was only revealed when the Wellington bypass was constructed

This well was put in to supply water to the cottages in this area, the cottages are now being moved from the current location to across the road. The well was situated at the back of the cottages and the bricks that were supplied to build this well were hand made by Tonks. The Tonks family opened their own brick work which supplied Wellington and was also shipped around New Zealand. The site where this monument is was constructed from bricks that were found around Wellington that were originated from Tonks' factory.

To find the final cache all you need to do is solve the following

The number of the house that was destroyed by fire minus the depth of the well first digit = Q
What year was the house destroyed by fire, take the third digit and minus the second digit = R
What year did the Tonks Family open their brick work, Take the second digit and add it to the first one = S

The cache is a M&Ms confectionery container with a smaller one inside containing a log sheet. Please replace it back to the exact position that you found it as we don't want it to be muggled as this location is a VERY high muggle location. Also NO SPOILERS of the final location as we don't want to spoil it for other cachers..
