Just off the highway, signed in the traditional ways for this area. Look for the landmarks. Keep your eyes open all the time if you are heading any deeper into the area, be careful of any open mines.
This is only one of many entrances to the actual mine sites. While you are in town drop into the visitor information centre and pick up a brochure on the car door tours. These tours are iconic!
You will also notice that just inside the fence are some 'puddling dams' that the miners use to wash their diggings. Also keep an eye out for the stump wearing trunks and the miners use of natural energy sources for electricity! Have fun while you are in the area!
