The Arborealist Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MelissaRobison: The area is under construction and the Tree I had the cache in has been torn down. The cache was knocked down into the ground a few feet away for a couple weeks. I will archive the cache today as the area will be developed into a whole new scene.

Geocache Description:

You are looking for metal sip cup with a screw on lid

I've long wanted to place a cache along the path I walk to the W. Falls Church Metro stop. I particularly like the large 100-150 year-old American Sycamore tree standing alone in the Northern Virginia Center parking lot, a reminder of the home that once stood where the center is now.

The American Sycamore

Start your search by greeting this grand old tree -- you won't have far to go afterwards and above all, have fun!

Update Fall 2013: Sadly, it appears the old Sycamore is no more; good-bye old friend.

** Congrats to Serrabou and Dukester1 for the FTF! **

p.s. If you're really lucky, you might spy this family that makes their way from unknown origin east of the Metro to unknown destination west and back again every day.
