Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Wombles of Wimbleball series. You are searching for a Small, camouflaged Lock'n'Lock container. After finding the cache, look for the Wild Boar sculpture between the trees uphill to the South.

BEST LOG OF 2011 was made by Bold Badger, thankyou !

Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.

Wimbleball Lake on Exmoor in Somerset, England, is a water supply reservoir constructed in the 1970s and completed in 1979. .There are many miles of paths following the shorelines of the lake, meandering through woodland and onto open moorland. There's also a wealth of wildlife to watch and discover so whether you're looking for a leisurely stroll, an active cycle ride or a more challenging walk whatever your ability there is something for everyone at the lake. A complete circuit of the lake is almost nine miles

Parking is pay & display, unfortunately Wimbleball Lake is not served by public transport, however Exmoor National Park run a Moor Rover service during the summer which is a dial and ride service visit here for more information.

Visitors can also launch their own unpowered water craft or hire from the watersports centre. Wimbleball is also a premier trout fishery offering angling from the banks and boats. Check the SW Lakes website for any applicable fees.
