USS Alabama Park Challenge Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

WyleOne: Apparently, this cache is stuck in a deadlock between a reviewer, a publishing error and the museum board on the other end. It's been five months disabled, maybe one day it can be resurrected, but as of now, it is out of my hands.

Geocache Description:

IMPORTANT!!! THE CACHE IS NOT LOCATED AT THE POSTED COORDINATES, OR ANYWHERE ON THE BATTLESHIP PARK GROUNDS!!!! PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW TO SOLVE THE CACHE!!!

This cache will bring you to one of the best tourist spots in Alabama, the USS Alabama park. It contains the USS Alabama battleship, USS Drum submarine, and all sorts of planes and other armoured vehicles. Many families come through this park each year to visit the grounds, and I just thought it was time to enjoy a bit of caching while exploring these historic military machines!! First of all, let's get some logistics out of the way before we dive into the cache information: The park is open during the spring and summer (April-September) from 8AM to 6PM, and is open during the fall and winter (October-March) from 8AM to 5PM. The last tickets are issued each day 1 hour before park closing. The charge for admission is $12.00 for 12 years olds-adults, $6.00 for children ages 6-11, and free admission for children 5 or younger. You may re-enter the park at any point during the day, but you will need to hang on to your receipt/ticket. There is also a $2.00 fee to park. Let me say that this is every bit worth the terrain rating! We were wore out and starving after gathering the clues to place this cache! You will have to cover every inch of the battleship, submarine, and aircraft hanger to get the clues needed to find the final location. The final location is a short 10-15 minute drive away and is a tall lock-n-lock with camo tape. It is well stocked for the kids! It goes without saying to please be careful while you are searching, as there are very tight doorways to squeeze through. The ladders can also be very slippery when going up and down, and please watch your head on the stairways! I have also included a link at the bottom of the page for you to check your answers, so having someone along with a smart phone or other means of internet access will be very helpful to check your answers before you leave for the final location. Most important - Have fun, and take your time. There is a lot of great things to see while you are here! Okay now that we have all of that out of the way, here we go! The final location can be found at: North 3B degrees CD.EFG West HIJ degrees KL.MNO Some of the locations will be easy, but some may require a great deal of searching!
