This facility and organisation is long established in the East of the City on Trewhitt Road. The Heaton Complex (of which the Community Centre is a large part) also provides a home for the City’s Play and Youth Service Area Team, the Adult Basic Education and English for Speakers of other Languages Services. A block on the site has recently been refurbished and provides office and meeting space for up to 5 Community/Voluntary groups. The Centre runs a full programme of Community activities to meet the needs of all age ranges.
It comprises of a Café, two large multi-purpose halls, a recently refurbished crèche facility, playgroup room and small rooms useable for meetings or conferences. Also on site is a licensed Social Club and Bar, with regular Bingo and Quiz nights, with a full size snooker table and darts board.
The cache is a magnetic nano with log only. Please bring your own writing implement.
The cache is located outside of the grounds so is always accessible.
