Going with the Flow! Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

Cayuga Crew: I hate to admit it but I'ver cracked under the pressure of Sapience Trek's authoritarian thumb and have decided to capitulate to his demands to archive this cache. I know there is more than one person intending to attempt to found and I seriously considered one ,more maintenance run but frankly wasn't inspired to do so. After 10 years of semi annual slogs through the legs to check on things for the rarely visited cache I felt it was time to make one last trip and pull out the legs. Thanks to al that visited. My apologies to those that unfortunately were just a year too late.

Geocache Description:

After reviewing the types of hides in the area that are the most active based on the number of logged finds I have learned that we have been going at this geocaching thing the wrong way. Most local cachers don’t want long hikes through scenic or difficult terrain to earn a smiley, they want the exact opposite of what we have been placing, cache and dash micros! We’ve seen the light and have decided to go with the flow. The Crew concedes. Here is another cache and dash to pad y

All right I tried but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I loaded up a couple of Altoids tins and an old snuff can and headed south to Chestnut Ridge looking for some decent guardrails and lamp skirts to slap some junk onto and was getting ready to sit back and watch them found it notifications start rolling in when I accidently looked beyond the guardrail and wondered what was over yonder a little further off the blacktop. Somehow that little glance derailed my 1/1 micro placing plans and I ended up placing a 3/4 multi mystery letterbox hybrid cache. Now I suppose I could tell you a little about it like where to park, what kind of containers you’ll be looking for, or describe the route you might want to take but frankly you are on your own at this one. I do ask that you glance up at the attribute icons and heed the warnings. This is probably the most difficult terrain of any cache we have ever placed and will definitely not be accessible 365 days a year. Use your head, know your limitations and be careful. I guess that’s it. We just can’t seem to really go with the flow after all. Actually I think we are more prone to go against the grain as somehow it makes life a little more interesting. We’ll probably never see that 100th found it log on this one but should it happen we’ll reward the 100th logged finder with a fully stocked ready to go ammo can as long as they promise not to hide no stinking micros. Please keep your logs vague so as to not give anything away regarding the cache. Heck we'd rather see TFTC logs here than those that give too much away. Oh yeah I almost forgot to mention that Inkwells deserve a little credit for inspiring us to place this one.

A special shout out to Purplehawks for being not only the first female cacher to "Go With The Flow" solo but also being the first cacher of any gender to to do so!

If you happen to be on the few who have successfully completed this cache we would greatly appreciate it if you would refer any requests for assistance for help on it to us. We won't bite"
