This cache is located off of scenic Skyline Parkway. There are many places along Skyline to pull off and admire Duluth's beauty, and this spot will afford you a nice view of the East Hillside Neighborhood.
The East Hillside neighborhood is a working class neighborhood prized by its residents for its affordable housing, closeness to jobs, and convenient transit service. The bulk of the area is residential in nature, however it also has a business district, and a medical district, which are shared with the neighboring Central Hillside Community.
From this location, not only will you enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Superior and the Aerial Lift Bridge, but on top of the hills you'll spot the iconic Coppertop Church along with the now closed Duluth Central High School. If the wind is blowing the right direction, you may hear the chimes from the Old Central clock tower located downtown. Directly below through all of the trees you'll see the bell tower for Peace Church. Neighboring the church is the Grant Recreation area and the newly remodeled Myers-Wilkins Elementary School.
