Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a four part series in Washington Lacy Park, in Hanover County. The first three caches are small plastic boxes, hidden in the traditional manner. The forth cache is a micro in the woods. The micro will be difficult to find. So, enjoy the first three caches & only attempt the last one if you are up for the challenge.

Washington Lacy #4 (GC2BNZE)

Washington Lacy Park is Hanover’s first to offer hiking trails, horseback riding trails, and bike riding trails. Washington Lacy Park includes about four miles of wide multi-use trails through open forest. It’s located south of Rt. 54 on the Ashland town limits. All County parks are open daily from dawn until dusk throughout the year.

The late Washington Lacy, for whom the Board of Supervisors named the park, purchased part of the property in 1894 and bred horses there. His eldest son Franklin lives on the property and still raises horses.
