This place can be buzzing around EAA time. You are looking for a bison tube. Stealth is required during EAA.
Nestled in a cozy cove off the west shore of Lake Winnebago is the AirVenture Seaplane Base, the site of EAA AirVentures' annual "Splash-In". It's the center of activities for those with an interest in water-based aviation, and over the years as EAA has grown, so has participation at the Seaplane Base.
This premium seaplane "spot" is open to all who attend AirVenture, however, this is not a registered seaplane base the remaining 51 weeks of the year.
