CaptainXJ: Couldn't have asked for a better event! Even thought the weather was super hot and the nettles were high, had a great turn out and everyone seemed to have a blast. Thanks to Starbuck for helping me get things set up, and a big thanks to everyone who helped us pack up and carry all the gear back to the canoe!

Hope to have another one next year and will start scouting out locations and ideas I have for the "5Th Anniversary"

The Event:

So alright ye' filthy bilge rats and sea wenches, spread the word, and 'ave a bit o' grog, or ole' Cap'n XJ 'll send slap ya' in irons, and thro' ya in da' brig, arrr. Time t' hoist them sails and prepare yourself for another adventure in t' Potomac! T' event will start at 10:30am rain or shine! There will NOT be transportation provided! So whether you swim, sail, paddle, or motor, your on your own!

The time has come for us to exact our revenge on Heater's Island and reclaim our booty! While our first attempt was thwarted by the port authorities, this year victory will be ours! Event is schedules for 17 July 2011!






The Food:

I will supply hotdogs and beans. It will be B.Y.O.D (bring your own drink) as usual. If anyone wants to bring any deserts that would be much appreciated also. Remember you will be bringing this desert out to the island via boat where there are no tables or chairs, so think cookies and brownies.
