Geocache Description:

A gentle stroll by Grafham Water, perfect for the Dog and kids. Only a little bit of long grass and uneven ground to deal with at the end of the walk. The paths are well maintained and there are only slight inclines. In the winter the area may be wetter or muddier than at other times.

Biscuit the Cockerpoo likes nothing better than having a scamper down to Grafham water and chasing the squirrels, and it's a perfect place for it. An easy stroll on well maintained paths with a buggy. The last 100m are off the path toward the waters edge and may not be suitable for a buggy in winter months. Remember to keep a close eye on children and dogs by the water, and it is not suitable for paddling.
This cache is thermos flask sized and shaped, with a neck 5.5cm (2.2inch) in diameter, bear this in mind for treasures to put in it. I have started with some really nice items in here, so please feel free to swap as you wish.

Biscuit lives in Grafham Village, so if you would like to join her on her walk, please park curteously along Breach road and not block anyone in. Parking is not restricted. From here, walk down Church road and turn left onto Church Hill (N52 18.477 W00 17.922 marked as 1,3,5 church road) and follow the road for a mile, before turning left through the gate at the end onto the path round the water. I do not recommend attempting to park on Church Hill or Church Road.
Alternatively you can also start your journey by parking in the Grafham Water Visitor Centre car park. It is currently (July 2010) £3 per day to park, opening at 9am and closing seasonaly. If you park here, head for the top right corner of the carpark (if facing the water), follow the path around to the right and head through the gate into the woodland.
