Geocache Description:

Situated on public property with easy access close to Ballintoy Parish Church.

The present Ballintoy Parish Church has existed since 1813, probably replacing an earlier worship site from the Seventeenth Century. It is one of the most striking and recognisable buildings on the Causeway Coast.

The church has an unusually Spanish appearance due to the absence of a spire. The original spire was destroyed in a hurricane in December 1894 and never replaced.

The church is well worth a visit and the cemetery has some very interesting graves.

Why not take a walk along the clifftop path to the world famous Carrick-a-Rede ropebridge or continue on down the road to the lovely Ballintoy harbour.

The cache is a small round tablock container sited on public property. Note**** it is not inside the church grounds****The church and cemetery are still in use, please bear this in mind. Cache contains a log, pencil and a couple of keyrings.

Easy access to cache, limited parking at roadside to front of church.
