NCN NR6 - Concrete Bridge Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Fingolfin_UK: I’ve checked this one today. The cache container has disappeared, and the site is quite different. I suspect that when the new path was put in that there was some tidying of the hedgerow. Therefore unfortunately, I’m archiving this one.

Geocache Description:

A small camouflaged lock and lock box. One of several caches along the riverside path.

This is just off the Sustrans National Cycle Network (NCN) Route 6, which runs from Derby to York (via Nottingham). The riverside path is very popular with cyclists and pedestrians so stealth will be required.

The concrete bridge is somewhat ornate, but appears to go nowhere in particular. The road is private, with a locked gate where it meets the B5010, and a locked gate at the far side of the bridge.

A Sustrans millennium milepost is close by - this one is painted a depressing black unfortunately!
