Riecny ostrov Sihot je z jednej strany ohraniceny hlavnym tokom Dunaja a zo severnej – bratislavskej strany Karloveskym ramenom. Takmer cely ostrov je pokryty luznym lesom, ktory byva pocas zvysenej hladiny Dunaja zaplaveny. Tiez tu rastie viacero druhov chranenych rastlin. Na Sihoti okrem studni, cerpadiel a elektrickej rozvodne nie su dalsie budovy. Na ostrov sa da dostat cez most alebo cez 220 metrov dlhu stolnu veducu popod Devinsku cestu a rameno.
Na ostrove, ktory patri Bratislavskej vodarenskej spolocnosti, su od roku 1886 zdroje pitnej vody, ktora je podla odbornikov jednou z najkvalitnejsich pitnych vod na Slovensku. Voda z ostrova zasobuje napriklad Karlovú Ves a Devin. To je dovod preco je tato oblast v pasme najvyssej ochrany a bezne sa sem neda pozriet.
