Geocache Description:

Cedar Mountain CITO

Saturday, September 25th, 2010
10:30am - 4:00pm
10:30 - 1:30 CITO
1:30 - 4:00 BBQ, raffle, etc.

Come out to Cedar Mountain and be prepared to give back to the BLM! This CITO will consist of 4 unique volunteering opportunities:
Trail Maintenance
The existing trail is in need of some grooming, consistening of weed pulling, clearing unwanted debris, and basic maintenance.

Trash Pickup
As with many areas, use brings unwanted garbage that hasn't been disposed of properly. We'll take care of that.

Sign Placement
We will be placing a few signs along the trail at specific locations set by the BLM. This will consist of digging holes, pouring concrete, and setting sign posts.

Painting
We will be painting the outhouse, canopy over the picnic tables at the trailhead, and the kiosks along the trail.

Volunteers should be prepared for a day of hard work out in a Colorado fall. Please provide:
- Sunscreen
- Gloves
- Water
- Hat

Hotel Information

There are discounted Hotel rates available. Rates start at $56.95 for a single queen ($66.95 for 2 queen). Please email Team Laxson for details.

After the CITO finishes

Once the projects have been completed, volunteers will be treated to a free BBQ, courtesy of the BLM staff.
