You are looking for a cylindrical container – 3 in. by 8 in. – not far off a trail. Recommended parking is on W High Street, between 7Th and 8th Avenues. Coords are based on a GPS accuracy of 20 ft.
The search for this cache will take you to an area beyond the field that is home to Haddon Heights High School varsity baseball as well as Haddon Heights American Legion baseball. In season, plan on spending some time watching some entertaining ball games. Unlike their professional counterparts, these teams like to have all foul balls and home runs returned to them. You are looking for a ball that was hit over the right field scoreboard. It was never found until I came across it one day and decided to place a cache at the spot. Find the ball and you’ll find the cache, which is a cammoed Metamucil container (OK, stop laughing – you’ll be older too some day!). That bit about the ball never being found – pure fabrication! But, I needed a story to make the cache seem more interesting.
Beware of muggles as there are walking paths and a playground nearby. And, if a home run IS hit while you are searching, you may find a horde of youngsters coming to retrieve it. There is a WaWa gift card for FTF. Good luck and thanks for coming.
