Geocache Description:

This is a puzzle cache. The posted coordinates are bogus.

Long before the cell phone, there was radio. Before radio, there was semaphore. Before semaphore, there was "one if by land, two if by sea" from the steeple of Old North Church. Before Paul Revere's ride, there was ...

Our perceptions of wireless communication have changed immensely over the years. This cache is a tribute to one of those early methods. What is it? You'll know as soon as you see it.

Oklahoma artist Robert Dean played an important role with respect to this geocache. Mr. Dean's work is significantly displayed around the state, especially locally.

In addition to the piece you find here, two of Dean's pieces are located on the grounds of the Museum of the Great Plains in Lawton, and at 15 locations in Medicine Park, including a buffalo at the old music hall next to Bath Lake.

Sadly, this talented artist died in February 2010, less than a year after his artwork at GZ was dedicated. To find it, you'll have to translate the coordinates from the language of the figure depicted there:

táági djj'i táági gots'idi táági tsebíí gostán
ngóst'áí tsebíí naki ashdla'i táági ashdla'i djj'i

You're looking for a nano hidden at one of the busiest places in town. Your chance of avoiding muggles is essentially zero, so this cache's difficulty is rated as a 3 on that alone. It's recommend you visit this spot after dusk or early in the morning to improve the chance of concealing your search.

Oh, yeah. Bring your own writing instrument.

~~~ Congratulations to Oklee for being First to Find! ~~~
