Construction of the Jasper Tramway began in 1963 and finished in time for the opening of the 1964 summer season. The project was supervised by the German firm P.H.B with the key components imported from Germany. Helicopters were used to ferry people, materials and supplies to the upper terminal.
In accordance with Jasper National Park guidelines no trading items or things that might attract wildlife are to be left in this cache.
