Geocache Description:

The Green Circular is a long established walking and cycling route which circumnavigates Dundee. This 26 mile long leisure route links the city’s parks and places of interest. The "Dundee Cycle Map" which maps the Green circular is available free from libraries, visitor attractions and council premises. CITY QUAY Located around the former Victoria Quay on Dundee's waterfront, City Quay is a business, leisure and hotel development, which together represents a re-vitalisation of the area costing more than £20 million. Located on the north side of the dock and opened in 2002, the business complex occupies listed former warehouses and extends out into the dock itself. The Apex City Quay Hotel lies to the west, next to the Dundee Customs House and Harbour Chambers and the former main entrance to the harbour. Housing development has taken place to the east, next to Camperdown Dock, and to the south giving stunning views overlooking the river. The development includes a marina, together with the Frigate Unicorn, launched in 1824, and the former North Carr Lightship, both permanently berthed in Victoria Dock. See GC1RDJD The Frigate Unicorn (now archived) by IamAJMiller for more info . City Quay is owned by the Port of Dundee Ltd., a subsidiary of Fort Ports Ltd., who own and operate the harbour. As I was preparing this cache a Police van drew up right next to my car and two burly cops got out and headed into their nearby labs. Phew! How easy is it to look inconspicuous sitting on double yellows with a reel of gaffer tape in your hands?! This cache is a magnetic sweetie tin. When placed it contained a pencil but it seems the pencil fairies have paid it a visit so best bring your own - but then - why would you go caching without one? Have fun!
