Geocache Description:

I was out doing maintenance on one of the Middlesex Canal caches when I decided to place three caches: one traditional, one multi and one puzzle. Two of them are easy and one not quite as easy, depending on your point of view.
This is the multi

The Middlesex Canal
The Middlesex Canal, which linked Charlestown, on the Charles River, to the Merrimack River at Chelmsford, was the result of efforts by merchants and other wealthy men of Boston, Medford, and surrounding towns to develop a more efficient way to tap the natural resources and reach the markets of the Merrimack River Valley in northeastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The route of the canal went right through Wilmington. Near this cache are the remains of the Maple Meadow Aqueduct. I hope you take time to explore the remains of the canal before or after finding this cache.

The Cache
If you want to increase your Loch Cache find count this will be an easy one to find provided you find the round object. Although this cache is located near the old Midlesex Canal I was drawn to the area for the ski history. (Check out the related web page.) At the first stage you will be at the top of the old ski area. There you will find an object that was onced used as part of the tow rope operation. On it you will find the last three digits of the north and west coordinates of the final.

The second stage is just two tenths of a mile away. As you enjoy the walk over watch for signs of wild life in the area. There is a lot and several different types. At the final look carefully and you should come up with the cache quickly. Please make sure the cache is returned snugly to its hiding spot and all camouflage is back in place. DON'T BE DESTRUCTIVE!

Good luck and good caching,
Loch Cache
