This cache has been archived.

Workyticket: As there appears to have been no response from the CO we are archiving this cache listing to prevent it from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements in the area. Once a cache is archived for non-responsiveness (including the cache page) it can't be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

This disused railway line which once took coal from pit to port was given a new lease of life as a community expressway for giving cyclists and pedestrians the fast track across Newcastle in 2009.
The Coxlodge Waggonway – a green corridor running all the way from the Coast Road in North Tyneside to South Gosforth links a number of major employers such as the government offices at Longbenton and the Cobalt Business park with local schools, transport links, the Freeman Hospital, Northumbria University, residential areas and even Newcastle United’s training ground.

The two-mile long and three -metre-wide track, which gives local people a fast, green and free way of getting around by bike or on foot is fully lit and signposted, and the route has been landscaped with the planting of new hedgerows and trees. There is also information on local history and sights of interest along the way.

The DISCO cache only contains a log so please bring your own writing implement. The log container does not come out of the disco cache. To access the log please unscrew the top.
