Geocache Description:

A small pill bottle. Bring your own pen. Room for small items. It may be hard to find with a foot of snow on the ground.

This cache is 1st of 3 placed in Sugar Hill State Forest for the Women in the Outdoors program on July 23 & 24, 2010.This cache is easy to get them started after they learn about GPS and geocaching. These caches will be published after this event to give the women the FTFs.

Sugar Hill State Forest is a little known State Park. It is rustic. There are very modern bathrooms with regular toilets and sinks but no showers. There is drinking water available around the campgrounds. It is noted for horse back riding and snowmobiles on the trails. There is camping for both trailers and tents. There is no fee for camping. There are picnic tables and fire rings at the campsites.

There is a fire tower that you are allowed to climb. Wonderful views of the surrounding area are available from up there.

There are many trails and maps available.

The park is about 8 miles West of Watkins Glen.
