You are looking for a Medium Cache located close to the entrance
of a second cave located in one of the trails of the forest. This
trail begins in Road PR-621. As you maybe read in the other forest
caches, this road is closed to motor vehicle transit. Only forest
personnel, service providers and researchers from the Puertorican
Parrot aviary can use cars in this segment of the road.Walking is
allowed.
After reach parking area, begin to walk following the road. In
less than 45 minutes you will at the beginning of the trail at
Waypoint W6. Take this trail until you reach an intersection of 2
trails (Waypoint W7). Take the trail to your right, then you will
arrive to another trails intersection (Waypoint W8). Take left
trail until you reach the "riachuelo" or little creek (Waypoint
W9). At this spot you will see a little trail close to the water,
it will take you to cave entrance (Waypoint X2), now your are close
to GZ.
Cache content is log sheet, pin for the FTF, one keychain from
Geocaching.com, another keychain and other souvenir. The container
is a medium lock-n-lock box.

Estás buscando un cache tamaño mediano que está escondido cerca
de la entrada en una segunda cueva en el bosque localizada en una
vereda que inicia en la vereda pavimentada del bosque (PR-621).
Como habrás leído en los otros caches del bosque, Esta vereda es
parte de la carretera PR-621 pero está cerrada para el tránsito de
vehículos de motor. Sólo personal del bosque, proveedores de de
servicios y los investigadores del Aviario de la Cotorra
Puertorriqueña pueden usar vehículos de motor en este segmento de
la carretera. Caminar está permitido.
Después de estacionar, continúa la carretera. Aproximadamente en
45 minutos estarás en el inicio de la vereda (Waypoint W6). Toma
esta vereda hasta que llegues a un punto donde se encuentran dos
veredas (Waypoint W7). Toma la vereda a tu derecha hasta que
encuentres otro cruce de veredas (Waypoint W8). Toma la de la
izquierda hasta que llegues al riachuelo (Waypoint W9). En ese
punto verás un caminito cerca del agua que te llevará a la entrada
de la cueva (Waypoint X2). Ya estás cerca del GZ.
Cache contiene hoja para firmar, pin para el FTF, un llavero de
Geocaching.com, otro llavero y un souvenir. El contenedor es un
envase mediano tipo "lock-n-lock'.

Río Abajo State Forest is located west of the Dos Bocas Lake
Reservoir. It covers an area of approximately 2,280 hectares and
its elevations range between 656.1 and 1,391 feet (200 and 424
meters). This large forest is in the heart of the karst country,
with very rugged formations, an extensive trail system and a
visitors center.
The Rio Abajo Forest Reserve was established in 1943. The
massive reserve is situated between the Dos Bocas Lake and the
Tanamá River and this lends itself to the unusual topography of the
region. It is quite common to find caves, sinkholes and small hills
within close proximity to each other in the reserve.
The forest is under the supervision of the National and
Environmental Resources Department of Puerto Rico. Camping is
allowed by permit only. The camping area provides for 40 persons,
the cost is $4 for adults and $2 for kids. For permits or more

How to Get There: From San Juan, take Road PR-22 toward
Arecibo. Take PR-10 exit toward Utuado, and continue until Waypoint
#1.

El Bosque Estatal de Río Abajo, ubicado en los municipios de
Utuado y Arecibo, entre el río Tanamá y el lago Dos Bocas, es uno
de cinco bosques estatales que fueron designados en 1943 mediante
transferencia de propiedad llevada a cabo por la Administración de
Reconstrucción de Puerto Rico (P.R.R.A.). Estos bosques protegen la
cuenca hidrográfica del Río Grande de Arecibo y son parte del
manejo de sistemas forestales.

El área de “camping” del Bosque provee espacio para
40 personas, el costo es de $4.00 por persona (menores $2.00). Para
acampar debes llamar a la Oficina de Permisos Forestales del
Departamento de Recursos Naturales y Ambientales (DRNA). El

Cómo Llegar: Desde San Juan tomar la PR-22 en dirección a
Arecibo. Al llegar a la Salida de la PR-10, salir en dirección
hacia Utuado (sur) y continuar hasta llegar al Waypoint #1.
