Geocache Description:

This is fun and easy cache that is great for families, kids and beginners. This is a two part geocache leading to the historical markers by Old Baltimore Pike. We invite you to visit the museum, when open. FREE ADMISSION. Plenty of parking and great exhibits.

The Pencader Heritage Museum is open to the public on the first and third Saturday of the month from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. FREE ADMISSION. (Mention that you are a GeoCacher ) Private Tours by appointment. We are creating an educational environment for students, teachers and interested residents to learn about the history and culture of the Pencader Hundred. Our Cooch Room features pictures and memorabilia of the Cooch family, the Dayett Room when complete will house artifacts and information concerning the history of the Dayett Mill and in the Pencader Room are displays of Native American Indian and Revolutionary War artifacts. We are building our inventory to include replica cannons, period clothing, household items and agricultural tools from an earlier era. Our "please touch" area includes parts from a M-48 tank built by the Chrysler Corporation right here in Newark.
