Welcome to the second anuual GeoRoc Summer Picnic! This year the
picnic is being combined with the WTH Challenge party. The picnic
is open to everyone and will be held August 22rd, at the Conifer
Pavilion in Durand Eastman Park. The event will start around
11:00AM.
Everyone is welcome to come to the picnic. You do not need to have
participated in the WTH Challenge. The awards will be at the very
end of the picnic, and those who do not wish to stay for this, may
leave.
Lunch will be potluck style and will begin at 1:00PM. I am asking
everyone to bring either a dish to pass or some drinks, hamburgers
or hot dogs for the meal. Please post in your "Will Attend" log
what you plan to bring. I will summarize this and post a list at
the bottom of this description.
After eating, there will be a raffle to help offset the cost of the
pavilion, and the upkeep of the GeoRoc website. If you have
something to donate for the raffle, please let us know. Donated
items are greatly appreciated.
There are bathrooms and a playground located nearby. Parking is all
around the loop near the shelter.
