The Decorah Cemetery serves as an internment site for members of the Ho-Chunk Nation who have passed away, some of them being military veterans for the United States of America.
You are welcome to visit this cemetery during daylight hours. Please respect the fact, this is a Native American burial site and is considered as a sacred site to the Ho-Chunk People.

As you will note, one of the dead interred her is Cpl Mitchell Red Cloud Jr., who was killed while fighting in Korea. His mother later received a Congressional Medal of Honor for her son’s act of bravery in defense of this country.
First interred at Arlington, he was later brought back to be laid to rest with his ancestors here at Decorah Cemetery.
The cache container is not in contact with any gravestones, monuments or other memorials. Please respect the area. If the cemetery is in use, please refrain from caching this site.
