An easy driveby cache in a great location at the Bay of Skaill where there is another cache. Stealth may be required as this area can be busy particularly during the summer as well as when there are church services at the kirk. Please ensure the cache is firmly jammed back under the rock to ensure it does not get blown away!!
St Peter's Kirk is in a fantastic location to watch the sea particularly during winter storms when the sea thunders in to the bay behind the kirk. This kirk was formerly the parish church of Sandwick and is now in the care of the Scottish Redundant Churches Trust having been renovated in 2003.
There are some excellent walks all around the cache.
Skara Brae is close by and is well worth a visit, being one of the most visited and important archaeological sites in the UK. Indeed, it is the best preserved Neolithic village in Northern Europe. Further information can be found on the attached webpage.
Skaill House is also worth a visit if you have time.
The cache is a 35mm film canister with log and pencil
