Geocache Description:

******Not at Posted Coordinates*******

Have you ever sat in your backyard and filtered out the sound of traffic and the hum of your neighbors air conditioner? If you have you may have noticed the sound of several birds chirping. But, could you identify those birds just by their song? It is a challenge as most birds have multiple songs that are not nearly the same.

Solve this puzzle and learn something at the same time as you join the hobby of bird watching (and listening). It is the second most popular hobby in the U.S. only exceeded by gardening. That being said I would guess that if you have a bird feeder you are considered a bird watcher and if you have a plant you are considered a gardner.

Identify the songs of the birds in the audio clips. The birds used are quite common and all can be found in Minnesota. The first bird song is the first number of latitude and so on. Pick the bird from the list below and use the last or only digit. There are no twists, turns or hidden parts to this puzzle. The same bird will not be used more that once and of course not all the birds listed are used. To listen to the audio clips go to the related web page link listed above. The Latitude clip has 7 bird songs, the longitude has 8. Each song is seperated by a few seconds of silence. In some of the clips other birds can be heard in the background, it is only your goal to identify the bird in the foreground.

Any spelling errors are unintentional and not meant to lead you astray, please ignore them. You will be looking for a camo taped waterproof match container.
