A small lock ‘n’ lock at the Lafayette MUA area off the Taconic. This should be a park and grab, just .11 mi off the TSP northbound.
(cue the music…) A horse is a horse of course of course, and no one can talk to a horse of course! That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed!
Along with Leave it to Beaver, Mr. Ed was one of my favorite tv shows as a kid.
What would neighbor Addison say if Wilbur Post said that his horse, Mr. Ed, could talk? Probably it would be the name of this cache – HORSE FEATHERS! (Had to stretch it a bit to get the bird theme in here.)
I’m not sure, but it’s possible that this road is named for the owner of the Talking Horse. Okay, maybe not. According to the signs, this road is not maintained in the winter. Suffice it to say, if the snow is so deep you can’t drive to this cache, you wouldn’t be able to find it anyway.
