Here is a nice little adventure for all who are bored of the
traditional caches. I have come up with a series of caches that
will end up being tied all together at the end. Being a poker fan,
I love watching the World Series of Poker (W.S.O.P.) on tv and have
decided to call these series of caches the W.S.O.C....the World
Series of Caching. There are 7 caches placed along St Rt 327 from
St Rt 50 to Wellston, Ohio. In these caches are a piece of paper
with a letter on them (PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS PAPER. The other
cachers will need it as well). The object to the WSOC is to locate
the caches, find the letter in each one, then after finding all 7
caches...decode what phrase the letters spell out. The first 3
people (or teams) that email us the right phrase will win prizes
including first prize of a non-typical, undisclised amount
(definitely worth the time) of $$$cash$$$. Second prize will be a
very impressive, unactivated mustang madness geocoin.. The third
prize will be mini geocaching kit which includes a camouflage
container, bags, logs along with other cool swag....everything you
need to hide your own cache. Stage one is located near the
intersection of 327 and 50....then work your way to Wellston. Some
caches are "traditional" caches and some are not...but if u have
cached for any amount of time then you have seen all of these
types. Some do have twists to them just to keep you on your toes.
We trust that all people will follow the honor system and NOT share
information with other people that have not found the caches. The
logs will be checked and verified before the prizes will be
awarded. I hope u have fun with the WSOC and happy caching!!!
The container is a small bottle with cammo tape. Really not big
enough to hold any swag, but it’s a good one to start the
series. There is a pull off at the intersection of St Rt 50 and 327
where you can park. The pull off is very close to the cache so you
wont have to go very far.
Congratulations to the W.S.O.C. 2010
