Little Rock NIGHT Trails Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Chuck Walla: Greetings from Geocaching.com!

Since you have not responded to my reviewer log about your cache, the cache has been archived.

Some time ago, I posted a note to your cache page requesting a response from you to post what you were planning to do with the cache on the page and to send me a note. I have no record of a response, and no response tells me that you are not planning on replacing or repairing this cache. If I am wrong with that assumption, please let me know promptly. I can always unarchive the cache for you if needed.

Sincerely,

Chuck Walla

Geocache Description:

This is a modification of the Brown's archived Burns Park NIGHT Trail (GCMAA4), if you go to the posted coordinates then you will find that cache's old firetacks, but nothing more.

Bring a bright flash-light. The park closes at mid-night. Be careful returning from your find, the reverse trail is not marked!

To find this cache you need to first find:
THINKeen's Fairway Park NIGHT Trail (GC2BZ3W) for the North ordinate, and harrycats' Ouachita NIGHT Trail (GC2C28Q) for the West ordinate.
Burns Park:
one of the nations largest municipal parks, with close to 1,600 acres of lighted ball fields, hiking trails, fishing, and a 36-hole championship golf course. Recreational Opportunities abound at North Little Rock's Burns Park as well as Sports Activities along with a unique Urban Equestrian Trail, Scenic River Trail, Emerald Park Mountain Bike, and Multi Use Trails.
(Description from North Little Rock Parks and Recreation webpage.)

Unexploded ordnance have been found in this park. The affected trails are marked with signage. We had considered archiving this cache, but after talking with Jeff Keplinger of NLR parks decided to keep the cache active. He said that if a geocacher were to see something that looks out of place (even a cache that is not a geocache from geocaching.com) BACK OFF, mark it on the GPSr, and give him (501) 791-8545 or the police a call.

This is a sparse trail, so use your geosenses carefully. When the tacks change color is time to leave the easy trail for some bush-wacking -- do not worry, you will not have to go far.

When the beasts near the trail growl, it would be advisable to keep your caching companions with 10 yards. Then, you can still hear each other talking.

Congratulations to MoNine for the Triple Crown FTF!!!
