This cache was placed in honor our our good friends the Cochran's, who recently moved. We always camped together and had recently discovered geocaching. We thought this would be a good way to commemorate our friendship. One of our running jokes was how, when on atv rides, "Hot Rod" Rod would take off without looking back, leaving us far behind. Thus the name.
The cache is placed on the north edge of the picturesque Pole Mountain area, just off of road 713d. It will require you to climb a bit but the reward is a great view of the back side of Eagle Rock. The container is a small black, plastic one. We hope you enjoy the search.
