Industrial Garage Sail Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dutchduane: I have been unable to go out and check on this cache due to health problems, as I have leukemia. It will be a few months before I am well regulated on medication enough so that I can go out and check on it. So I am going to archive it. I will go out and clean up any remaining container or other debris when I am able. Sorry for the problem. This is a cache along a hiking trail, and requires so walking to get to.

Geocache Description:

I took my wife sailing a few months ago - garage sailing that is. While she was busy shopping, I wandered around and looked at the treasures. Suddenly I spotted something: Aha! With a few changes, that would make a great geocache container. I bought the item, and then bought a collection of pins and trinkets to fill it. Yesterday, after some mis-steps along the way, I finally got the container planted.

This is a hiker's cache. The cache is located along the C. Moore loop trail, near the south end of the loop. It is about 30 feet from the trail on the uphill side, and is in an industrial strength container. These types of containers are easy to close, but often difficult to open. I made a geocache opening device (acronym: GCOD) to help open the cache. Please tighten the lid finger tight only - just enough to keep it secure. Container has proven to be NOT watertight, so I have placed a very small supposedly watertight container inside it, with only room for a log book. BYOP. When finished, replace the GCOD back in the cache hidey hole. (Acronym: CHH.) GPS reception was spotty in the trees, so I provided a strong additional hint. If you come up with better coords., please post them.
