Bear Hollow Trail runs for about a half-mile through a beautiful
natural area in Murrysville's Heather Highlands neighborhood. The
main trail runs along the side of a wooded, steep-sided valley with
a small stream at the bottom. The main trail is wide and well
graded but may contain a few wet areas near the start.
Park at the Royal Highlands Ballfield parking lot. (N40 26.659 W
079 42.134) The sign for the trailhead is nearby on Gun Club
Rd.
The cache is clear plastic container located within 25 feet of a
side trail. If you find yourself on the wrong trail, please
backtrack, don't bushwack. The park is mostly free of
trash. Help keep it that way by carrying out any trash you
notice.
The Murrysville Parks and Recreation Department approved placing
this cache to encourage enjoyment of this not well known natural
area.
