Placed on the edge of a woodland with a good view to the west on a clear day.
The cache is just off a minor road, so it can be a cache and dash, the parking is very close to the cache..if your on the minor road following your arrow, you'll find the parking., its a small 1 car layby.
Edit - Oh, and as Fireman Sam says, you'll need a pen or pencil!
Ailsa Craig Lies approximately 10 miles off the Ayrshire coast at Girvan, but from here it's maybe more like around 20 miles distant.
This cache is placed here only because it's a slightly raised position with a nice westerly view. The village of Coylton is only around a half mile away to the east. Ayr being around 3 miles to the west.
