Cache the Chugach in style!
This cache is sitting near Long Lake. It is a phenominal little tarn lake in the heart of the front range. It has a different feel than most of the commonly visited front range areas. Access to this place isn't easy, but most geocachers will be able to do it. I came in over near point and dropped into the valley. This is the best way in. I trekked around the lake and through the pass below williwa. You then head back down williwa lakes, down the middle fork trail, and back to prospect. It is around 13 miles. The scenery is amazing! A motivated and fit person can complete this caching loop in around 4-6 hours. There isn't a standard trail on the way from near point to the lake. Initially there is a good trail...stay a little higher on the mountain initially to avoid the thick alders near the creek. There is some information in 50 hikes in Alaska's Chugach State park on the loop.
Here is a good link to a write up on williwa lakes access...

Those of you with time can camp back here and make an attempt at GCPARB, Williwa, Anchorage's Rooftop. There are several caches on the way to near point and down middle fork that you could also log. Good luck!
