Geocache Description:

There once was a large hill here but now no more, it is merely a small unseen and unnoticed rise in the land that no one even pays attention to. It is begging to be walked on and explored once again. Plenty of parking is around but beware of the MUGGLES, they are abound. The muggles can sneak up on you while you are ascending or descending. Cloak and Dagger style is the way to go. Mountain goats may be needed for this climb but you will need to bring along a rake for all the straw around, for the rocks and roots abound.

For the first to find is a piece of Brazilian culture. It is a bracelet that says, “lembranca do senhor do bonfim da bahia”, which means “Souvenir of Our Lord of a Good End of Bahia”. Senhor do Bonfim is apparently one of the names used for Jesus. Bahia is a region in Brazil.

Anyway, the idea is that you tie three knots when you put the band on, and for each knot you make a wish. Then you wait for it to fall off, you throw it in the sea, and your wishes are granted.

My wife and I are not Brazilian but we have hosted Brazilian exchange students for high school and they become our children. We thought we would pass some of this culture onto you. Enjoy.
